Financial
Planning is the process beginning with the collection and
assessment of all relevant financial data and continuing to the
specification of personal goals and objectives and finally to a
written plan of action.
Sweetwater’s
perspective on financial planning is that planning is unlikely
to be effective unless it reflects the hopes and desires of the
client and not merely the technical output of a software
program. In other words, the plan needs to address the
intangible parts of life as well as the tangible. No financial
plan will be successful unless the client can invest himself or
herself in the plan. The financial plan that will best serve the
client will be the one that integrates all aspects of the
client’s life with the realities of the asset base, time horizon
and risk tolerance.
Sweetwater’s
only compensation for the planning process is from client fees.
